The lantern fish is a creature introduced in the starting of the game.

Lantern fish is based on Angler fish. They both have the same behaviour of luring their prey before eventually ambushing them and striking them.
Behavior[]
The lantern fish is an ocean threat that players must avoid however the fluorescent crystals obtained after defeating them are incredibly useful throughout the gameplay and have a numerous amount of purpouses. The Lantern fish has razor-sharp teath and enourmous eyes with a stalk which attaches a crystal at it's rear used for luring their prey.

Lantern fish can be obtained or caught using a fishing net however, Lantern fish can be bred with Raw Fish, but they cannot be tamed.
In-game description[]
Click in the water to generate a tempered and poor-eyesight lantern fish.
It would strike white gugufish and can be breeded with raw fish. After killing the creature, they player can obtain EXP and Fluorenscent Crystal

Spawning[]
- Lantern fish spawn at an average altitude lower than -40 during survival mode and can be caugth in an item form using fishing net.
- In creative mode, the item can be used to spawn it, It can also be accessed through trigger.

- Lantern fish along with gullfish, fireflies and manta are the only In-game accessable creatures that do not have any audio files.
- Lantern fish is the second-only hostile aquatic mob
